The new album is coming along great!
We recorded it all in one week and are in the process of making some
final decisions and mixing. It is a great album full of brand new
original tunes that give you that perfect front-porch-swinging,
nothing-to-do, summer afternoon, easy, lazy type of feeling. Can't
wait for you to hear it.

I may be sending a preview of a song or two to those on my mailing
list as they come out. I'm so proud of this record - really looking
forward to sharing it all with you soon...

In the meantime, I'll be doing other stuff (and a few tunes off of
the new disc) with Jocko MacNelly on guitar at Rossi's this month.
AND this month, we're doing another fun run of THE GIRL SINGERS OF THE
HIT PARADE with my Mother, Sister and Aunt at The Phipps Center for
the Arts in Hudson, WI and The Old Log Theater by Lake Minnetonka.

Hey!
So much has been happening in the household here. Rowan turned 1 and just started walking this past weekend, Aaron (my husband) is back teaching for the school year and my shows and projects have been almost overwhelming. I've been happy, of course, to get the calls!!

Lately, voice over work has been coming my way and all sorts of special projects for events, shows, parties, and albums. It's been a fun fall so far!

Coming up, DJ Spur and I will be working toward some more performances of our original House Music with the potential for an entire album release in 2008. You can hear some of our stuff at http://www.myspace.com/djspur Also, more immediately, I'll be appearing with some family members in another performance of The Girl Singers Of The Hit Parade

That's what I've been up to lately. My little girl is about to be 6 months old and we're cutting the umbilical cord again by mommy no longer being a food source. That frees me up a teensy bit more to go ahead and concentrate on music.
As the public shows roll in, I'll be letting you know about them - and if you're not on the e-mailing list, click and join at the top of the page - I'll send you updates on what's going on and where I'm playing.

Girl!!!!!
Rowan (row-ANN) Elizabeth was born Friday, August 18th, 2006 at 7:18AM, 21 and 1/2 inches long and weighing in at 10 lbs, 5 and 1/4 oz! Oh Baby!!!
She's lovingly named after one of our grandmothers who will be 96 this year - so cool.

Hi!
Midwestern heat and humidity with a baby in my tummy is a challenge... whew... 10 more weeks or so to go. Can't wait to meet the little thing. The Girl Singers show is coming up and then I'll be taking some time off to sit in some air-conditioned room with my feet up and await the arrival of the rambunctious one. I'll check in once the little one arrives. Talk to you then. Happy Summertime!

Man... a lot going on this spring.
My husband and I just got a house and we move this Saturday... we started looking after we found out that we were expecting a little one! Come August, we'll be parents! It's kicking around in there as I'm typing. Weird.

I had a blast singing the National Anthem for the Timberwolves Game yesterday! They set us up with some nice tickets and, what do you know, we won!

Coming up in April are a ton of private events with just one show open to the public.

On April 15th, I'll be at the Twisted Grille in Hudson, WI with Mark Asche on keys.
A mellow duo, the two of us. Might be just what you need to relax on potentially one of the most stressful days of the year... I suppose TaxDay has been moved to the 17th this year, so grab some wine before the crazy Monday.

Hi! February and March hold a lot of private parties this year and a bunch of rehearsals for an upcoming show. I'll be rehearsing here in the Twin Cities and down in Florida for the role of Garland in The History Theatre's BEYOND THE RAINBOW. I'll be learning the part, but not performing it as of yet. The talented Jody Briskey originated the part here in town and is playing it down in FL with me as her backup.
There are a few public performances here and there throughout these months, so come say Hi when you can! I'll be looking forward to seeing some familiar faces!

Had a wonderful time on the Honeymoon and am glad to be back as a married woman to a wonderful man. It's been pretty fun - so far we've been playing gigs together pretty regularly - he's a fantastic saxophone player - and that's so nice to have him on the job.
We are looking forward to the Holidays! Hope yours are happy!
